Cherry Haori neckwear in the Sydney Collection is individually crafted in my studio from 100% silk crepe vintage kimono fabric.
It´s about versatility - you can wear it like a shirt collar under your T-shirt, or as a scarf, a bow, a tie or a belt... Works equally well as a piece of textile jewellery.
Overall length: 198cm. Width: 4cm. Length of collar: 42cm.
Wearing suggestions: A combination of firm internal lining and a magnet fastener (see previous picture) ensures the collar stays upright. No crease, super easy to wear.
Travel and storage: Each neckwear is packed in a handmade linen pouch.
Care: Gentle hand wash in cold water, warm iron only for crepe silk items.
"Cherry Haori was originally a short kimono, a haori I bought in Sydney, Australia. Pre-owned and worn as everyday items of clothing, these authentic kimonos retain their story, with hand stitching adding value to their identity".
